Arabidopsis SNPs

We (Borevitzlab, Bergelsonlab, Weigellab, Nordborglab) have developed 149 SNP markers (primers and sequences) at intermediate global population allele frequencies for both genetic mapping in various F2 crosses and for population diversity quantification.  See Warthmann et al. for details on the development of the marker set MSQT. They are available as Sequenom iPLEX pools of ~40SNPs each. We tested most of these on 96 accessions and now on a global set of >5707. You can see their genome distribution below. To utilize the SNP markers contact the UChicago sequencing core (info) or try your own core if they have a machine.
